The August First Friday: Dancing Down Main Street event will be held on Friday, August 4^th from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at Old Town Warrenton. There will be tons of local organizations, business, and events going on – you do not want to miss you! Special features include a beer garden, cartooning with Bonnie Zacherle, art displays, and sidewalk chalk with jump ropes, local artisans and much more! Interested in learning more about adopting a furry friend? August First Friday is the perfect chance to ask all your questions. Make sure to stop by the Fauquier History Museum and talk to the representatives from the Culpeper Humane Society. The Culpeper Humane Society is a is a passionate group of animal loving residents from Culpeper, Va. They offer several programs that are designed to help the animals of Culpeper and their owners. They have a partnership with St. Seton’s Orphaned Animals and Loving Touch Animal Hospital to help keep local animals spayed and neutered. Three days a week their office is open to provide families in need with a Pet Food Pantry!

Music from Ginger Funk

Do not forget about the great live music at August First Friday! The band Ginger Funk will be performing at the event. Founded in 2011, Ginger Funk is a fun loving band that is guaranteed to make you want to get up and dance! They play everything from Stevie Wonder to Soundgarden, Sly and the Family Stone to Stone Temple Pilots, Weezer to the Wailers, and Parliament to Petty and the Heartbreakers and more! Make sure to stop by and hear them play for a few minutes!
