Toyota’s Safety Connect Feature Helps Keep You Safe
As a way to improve its customers’ safety and security, Toyota vehicles are now available with an option to include the new Toyota Safety Connect tool. Through the use of this tool, a number of features can be accessed in emergency situations. Since the tool operates through a vehicle GPS, emergency personnel are able to locate the vehicle in emergencies; thanks to these features:
Collision Notification
Unlike other car models, vehicles with Toyota Safety Connect send a signal to authorities the moment there is a rear end collision or when the airbags deploy. Prior to sending the signal, an operator will make an attempt to get in touch with the occupants of the vehicle to determine how grave the collision was. If there is no response, the signal will be sent. The notification helps the driver so that he can get assistance, in the event that the collision was a serious one.
SOS Button
The Toyota Safety Connect tool makes it easier to get in touch with 911 in the event of an emergency. With the push of a button, the tool notifies corresponding emergency groups to respond to the call quickly.
Roadside Assistance
Minor incidents can also be given corresponding assistance, thanks to Toyota Safety Connect. Whether the car ran out of battery, gas, or the tire needed changing, Toyota can easily provide assistance. By pushing the SOS Button, Toyota will be alerted of the problem so that the driver can get the assistance he needs right away.
Stolen Car Locator
Toyota vehicles that come with the Toyota Safety Connect tool can help locate stolen vehicles faster and minimize damages to it. The vehicle owner simply has to get in touch with Toyota so that the authorities can locate the stolen vehicle through the GPS feature of the tool. In doing so, the owner gets to have his vehicle back in as little time as possible.
